Successfully Arranged 'Omana Thingal Kidavo' Cover track for Toby Jose.

APAF has successfully arranged a cover track 'Omana Thingal Kidavo'. Toby Jose, DTS mix engineer at Mega Media Films and Studios, Vennala, Kochi was looking out for a programming team who can create an exceptional cover track of the legendary lullaby. Finally it was our creative difference which helped him fulfill his dream.

The original lullaby was composed by Thampi at the request of the then ruler of Travancore, Maharani Gowri Lakshmi Bayi, to put the baby King Swathi Thirunal to sleep.

His birth was a long awaited event for the royal family since it faced the threat of being annexed into British India under the Doctrine of Lapse for the want of a male heir.

The lyrics of the poem reflect this sense of relief when it refers to the baby as a 'treasure from God' and 'the fruit of the tree of fortune.

APAF feels great working and spending time along with people like Toby and work on a different concept of covering a legendary track. It was a great experience for us to work on such legendary tracks and we had to make sure it stands out as well. And we succeeded.
